The Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Bellevue, WA is looking for a musically-gifted Christian to take on the exciting challenge of planning for and serving as the Director of Contemporary Worship in a new, contemporary worship service. This position will require a commitment of 40 hours per month to planning and being involved in the delivery of an inspiring and seeker-friendly weekly worship service. You will develop, coordinate and administer a well-rounded contemporary worship experience, insuring God is glorified, the Gospel proclaimed, and the love of Christ is shared. This position collaborates with a dedicated Worship Committee and reports to the Pastor, along with the support of members who are eager to serve. Recruiting, auditioning, scheduling, rehearsing, training, and participating with qualified volunteer and paid musicians and vocalists will be a major responsibility, in addition to planning and designing the worship service content. A degree in music or comparable experience in creative worship planning and execution; knowledge of music theory, sight reading for voice and proficiency on a musical instrument required.
